Ludhiana, June 11
A rousing welcome was accorded to MP Rajya Sabha Sanjeev Arora, contesting from the Ludhiana (West) assembly constituency, by AAP Central Jalandhar Incharge Nitin Kohli and New High School Alumni Association here this evening.
On the occasion, Arora launched a motivational video song “Damdar Shahr Ludhiana” composed by Deepika Dheer, an eminent educationist who also runs an NGO `Taruwar Kalyani Foundation’. After launching the song, Arora appreciated the song and its composer Deepika Dheer. He termed the song as “amazing” and appreciated Deepika Dheer’s NGO committed to empowering communities through education, healthcare, and sustainable development.
Arora spoke about the fan following of the cricketer turned politician Harbhajan Singh who did hectic electioneering for Arora in the last two days across the city. He said people of Ludhiana were so crazy for Harbhajan Singh that they got around 500 autographs during the road shows and poll meetings. He thanked Harbhajan Singh for coming here and campaigning for him.
Arora made an appeal to electorates of Ludhiana (West) to poll in maximum numbers on June 19 without caring for the weather. He said he understood that the hot wave is going on but people should give him support so that he could work four times more after winning the upcoming bypoll. He said every vote is precious therefore it should never be kept unpolled. He said hardly 15 minutes are required to poll a vote, therefore as a responsible citizen everyone must poll.
Regarding local New High School, Arora promised that the school would get its old glory.
Speaking on the occasion, New High School Alumni Association president Rajesh Garg appealed to everyone to vote in the favour of Arora. He added, “It is a one time opportunity for us to work for the victory of Sanjeev Arora.” He added people might be having association to different political parties but it’s not time to look at the same rather it’s time to think for development and progress of Ludhiana which can be possible only if Arora wins in the coming election. He thanked Arora for taking notice against misdeeds of the management of New High School.
AAP Central Jalandhar Incharge Nitin Kohli said Arora is a very helpful person to all and a development -oriented leader. He said it is really appreciable that Ludhiana has got such a dynamic and hardworking leader.
