Rolls-Royce Phantom collides with truck on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway: Truck driver, his assistant dead

In a major collision between a Rolls-Royce Phantom and an oil truck on the Delhi-Expressway near the Umri village, Nuh, Haryana on Tuesday, the latter overturned and was engulfed in flames shortly after, killing the driver and his assistant on the spot.

The duo got trapped inside and failing to escape out of the vehicle, were unfortunately burnt alive. Although, another cabin occupant inside the truck was rescued and is receiving treatment currently.

On the other hand, the luxury car caught fire immediately. However, the four passengers, including a woman, sustained severe injuries and were rushed to the Medanta Hospital in Gurugram.

It is reported that the oil tanker was travelling on the wrong side of the highway before it hit the car. As both the vehicles were said to be running on high speeds, the collision was so impactful that the truck, which was carrying diesel, overturned and caught fire.
