Railway starts 13 pair summer special trains to clear excess congestion

Millions of passengers travel by Indian Railways every day. During the summer holidays, the number of passengers in the trains increases. In such a situation, summer special trains are being operated by the Railways taking special care of the comfort and convenience of the passengers and to clear the excess congestion. Keeping this in view, the railways have started 13 pairs of summer special trains and made temporary additions of 118 extra coaches in many trains. A total of 99 rounds of these 13 pairs of summer trains will be run.

Currently, 13 pairs of summer special trains are being operated in Ferozepur division to clear the excess traffic. 04656/04655 (Jammu Tawi-Udaipur City), 09322/09321 (Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Indore), 04138/04137 (Udhampur-Subedarganj), 04142/04141 (Udhampur- Subedarganj), 04672/04671 (Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi), 04072/04071 (Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi), 04076/04075 (Udhampur- New Delhi), 04082/04081 (Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra -New Delhi), 09098/09097 (Jammu Tawi-Udhna), 05268/05267 (Amritsar-Jayanagar), 05733/05734 (Amritsar-Katihar), 05274/05273 (Amritsar-Samastipur), 09462/09461 (Amritsar-Gandhidham BG) ).

Railway spokespersons said, in view of the additional passenger traffic due to summer vacations, additional coaches are also being temporarily added to the trains for the convenience of the railway passengers. Trains in which the number of waiting list passengers is more, those trains are observed at higher levels by the board. Then the congestion of waiting list passengers is reduced by adding additional coaches. In view of the summer holidays, Ferozepur Division installed 118 additional coaches in various trains during the month of May, which included 48 third air-conditioned coaches, 4 chair car coaches, 9 sleeper coaches and 57 general coaches in which a total of 10306 passengers traveled.
