New Delhi: On the auspicious day of Makar Sankranti, January 14, 2026, India’s Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) is relocating. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will now run the nation’s affairs from the new ‘Seva Tirth’ complex under the Central Vista project, replacing the historic South Block.
New Name and Location: The PMO moves to the ‘Seva Tirth’ complex on Dara Shikoh Road.
Three Key Departments Under One Roof: The vast complex houses separate buildings for:
Prime Minister’s Office (PMO)
Cabinet Secretariat
National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS)
Part of Central Vista: This is a cornerstone of PM Modi’s visionary Central Vista Redevelopment project.
Previously based near Rashtrapati Bhavan in South Block, all official meetings, foreign dignitary visits, and Cabinet decisions will now happen in this modern ‘Seva Tirth’ setup.
This shift isn’t just about a building—it’s a symbol of New India’s efficient governance and contemporary administrative framework.
