A PIL has been filed in the Punjab and Haryana High Court demanding a ban on the film ‘Emergency’ of BJP MP from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh and film actress Kangana Ranaut.

This petition has been filed by advocate Iman Singh Khara and advocate Deepinder Singh Virk. The petition states that Kangana Ranaut has portrayed Sikhs in a wrong way in the film.

There is a possibility of hearing on this soon in the coming days. It is worth mentioning that petitioner Iman Khara is the lawyer of Khalistan supporter Amritpal, who is lodged in the Dibrugarh jail of Assam.

Kangana’s film is based on the emergency imposed during the tenure of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film will be released on 6 September.
