Kolkata Raj Bhavan to set up Punjabi Bagh amid ‘Khalistani’ slur row

Amid the ongoing Khalistani row in West Bengal, Kolkata Raj Bhavan will soon get a garden dedicated to the Punjabi community as a “tribute and symbol of Bengal’s abiding admiration” for them.

As per The Print reprt, Governor will also unveil a portrait of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh in Raj Bhavan on 23 March.

Governor C.V. Ananda Bose reportedly announced this on Thursday, hours after a Sikh delegation approached him seeking his intervention in the case of BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari allegedly calling IPS officer Jaspreet Singh a “Khalistani”.
