Fresh violence erupts in Manipur; 2 killed 25 injured

• Fresh violence erupted in Manipur’s Churachandpur district when hundreds of people came out to protest suspension of a head constable who’s alleged selfie with ‘armed miscreants’ went viral. This are is kuki zo tribe dominated.

According to Manipur police, “Mob numbering approx. 300–400 attempted to storm the office of SP CCP today, pelting stones, etc. The SF, including the RAF, is responding appropriately by firing tear gas shells to control the situation. Things are under watch.
