Assam shocker: 3 men kill minor girl, have sex with her body, arrested

Karimganj, September 29

Assam police on Thursday arrested three people, including a railway employee for allegedly strangling a minor girl to death and then engaging in sexual acts with the body in Assam’s Karimganj district.

The minor’s body was found beside Karimganj town bypass on September 9, the same day she was murdered.

The harrowing incident took place on September 9 at around 11 pm when three of the accused forcefully entered the victim’s house, killed her, and later made sexual contact with her body, said Partha Pratim Das, Superintendent of Police of Karimganj district.
On September 9 one incident was reported from Medal Part-I where the body of a minor girl was found inside her home during the absence of her parents. Accordingly, we registered a case (no – 694/23) under Section 376(A) IPC, R/W Section 6 of the POCSO Act. Then the post-mortem examination was done at Silchar Medical College,” said police.
