Ludhiana, May 1

In a heartening gesture towards strengthening community healthcare, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora visited the Hi Care Multispeciality Hospital in Basant Avenue, Ludhiana, to see the services being provided at the free dialysis centre run by Nar Sewa Foundation. The centre, known for offering life-saving treatment to needy patients, earned high praise from the parliamentarian for its ongoing commitment to serving humanity.

During his visit, MP Arora interacted personally with patients, inquiring about their treatment experiences and the quality of care provided. In a touching moment that resonated deeply with all present, he handed out red roses to each patient, offering not just symbolic compassion but a genuine sense of solidarity. The patients, visibly moved, expressed heartfelt appreciation for this warm and humane gesture.

In a major development, Arora announced the donation of an ambulance for the dialysis centre. The donation, to be made from the Members of Parliament Local Area Development (MPLAD) Fund, is intended to ensure that more patients can receive timely treatment without transportation barriers. “This ambulance will serve as a lifeline for many, helping patients reach treatment facilities on time,” Arora stated.

The MP also took proactive steps to enhance government healthcare coordination in the area by instructing the civil surgeon, to shortlist a suitable government health centre nearby. This, he said, would help align public resources to better serve the community’s medical needs.

Commending Nar Sewa Foundation, Arora said, “Their dedication to providing free dialysis services is a noble example of selfless service. Contributing to such social welfare initiatives is a privilege for me. It is through these compassionate efforts that we can build a stronger, more empathetic society.”

The occasion was attended by key members and supporters of the Nar Sewa Foundation, including B.D. Goyal, Sonu Singla, Dr. Raghuveer Sharma, Nidhi Gupta, and municipal councillors Manu Jairath and Satnam Singh Sunny.

The organisers extended their gratitude to MP Arora for his enduring support and described his visit as a milestone moment in the centre’s mission to offer inclusive and accessible healthcare in Ludhiana.
