MP Sanjeev Arora appeals to industrialists to vote for him

Rajya Sabha MP and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate for the Ludhiana (West) Assembly bypoll, Sanjeev Arora, emphasized the importance of environmental responsibility and active civic participation while addressing an event organized by the Federation of Industrial and Commercial Organisation (FICO) on the occasion of World Environment Day, here on Thursday. Arora was invited as the Guest of Honour.

Speaking on the significance of the day, Arora said World Environment Day serves as a vital reminder for industries to adopt sustainable practices. “I am delighted to see FICO celebrating this important day,” he remarked, urging all industrial units to operate in an eco-friendly manner.

Arora make a passionate appeal to industrialists and entrepreneurs to cast their votes in the upcoming bypoll scheduled for June 19. “Every vote matters,” he stated, underlining the importance of civic responsibility in a democracy.

Reflecting on his tenure as Rajya Sabha MP over the past three years, Arora shared his “report card” highlighting the resolution of several long-pending issues. He mentioned the implementation of the One-Time Settlement (OTS) Scheme for industry—an issue pending for over 30 years—as one of his major achievements besides relaying of roads in all phases of focal point. He added that he has consistently raised industry-related concerns, including those of the cycle and textile sectors, both at the state and centre level besides in the Rajya Sabha.

Arora also listed key development projects, including the Halwara Airport, the elevated road, and the upgradation of ESI and Civil Hospitals in Ludhiana.

The event was attended by Punjab Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond and several notable industrialists and leaders, including MP Raj Kumar Chabbewal, Gurmeet Singh Kular, K K Seth, Charanjit Singh Vishivkarma, S S Bhogal, Rahul Ahuja, Avtar Singh Bhogal, Satnam Singh Makkar, Subhash Lakra, Arshpreet Singh Sahni, and Manjinder Singh Sachdeva.
