MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla today reviewed the beautification project going on on Sultanwind canal. He told that this project is going on under the supervision of Baba Bhuri Wale and he had earlier given 90 lakh rupees under MPLAD fund and now he will give 50 lakhs more.
MP Aujla said that his vision is to make such a walking area in this area which is an example. For which he is satisfied that the trust is investing more than the amount he has given. People from villages are coming here and serving and soon this area will become more beautiful than Chandigarh. He said that he always felt that there is no greenery in this area, so beautification should be done on both sides around this canal. He said that there is no park in this area and this canal is a natural source which is important to save.
He said that a bridge will be built every 1.5 km in this area and excellent plants are being planted and a place is also being made for people to sit.
MP Aujla said that of course he is trying but people’s support is very important. People should not pollute water. If they read the scriptures of the religion they believe in, they will understand the real truth of life. He said that spreading dirt in water not only pollutes the water but the animal that dies by drinking it or eating that dirt is also called a killer, so do not pollute the water and take care of cleanliness yourself.
During this, he also took a dig at the Municipal Corporation and said that those who have a budget of crores of rupees, definitely see the difference between the things managed by them and the things managed by the trust of Baba Bhuri Wale. He said that the cleanliness of the area, maintenance of the plants, everything is being done in an excellent manner and soon a walking path of about 5 kilometers on one side will be ready here and it will be a gift for the coming generation of people.
