MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla today thanked the Railway Ministry as well as the people on the start of Amritsar Katra Vande Bharat train. He said that for the last several years he was demanding for two special trains from Amritsar, under which one train was given in 2023 and the other train was started today. He said that Amritsar is a tourist city and just like there is a need for Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway, there is also a need for a Delhi-Amritsar-Katra train route.
For which he was continuously making efforts and today it has been completed. He said that Amritsar has an international airport, expressway and train route. He said that Amritsar is a tourist city and now after the train, the number of tourists will increase further, which will not only benefit the tourists but also the people of Amritsar. He said that he congratulates all the city residents for this. This was very much needed and now a new station will soon be built for the people which was announced during the previous government and the work was stopped due to some design issues which will also be started soon. He said that he is always present for the people and will convey their every demand to the center.
