MP Aujla raised the issue of pathetic condition of TB hospital in Parliament

MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla today raised the issue of pathetic condition of TB hospital located in Amritsar in Lok Sabha. He asked whether the government is taking any steps to improve the condition of that old hospital.

He said in Parliament that a TB hospital was built in Amritsar border area in 1937 which was built before independence. There is a provision for 100 patients to stay there. He said that TB hospital of Amritsar is the biggest hospital of Northern India. Poor people come here but the condition of the hospital is very pathetic. He asked whether the government is taking any steps to improve the condition of TB hospital located in border area. He said that there are less professors and faculty there.

Responding to this question, Anupriya Patel, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare said that she has been asked about a specific hospital and she should give information about it in writing and she will do the research and will definitely do whatever is necessary to strengthen it.
