The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mohali unit held a heartfelt condolence meeting to pay tribute to former Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP Punjab-Chandigarh in-charge Vijay Rupani, who tragically lost his life along with 292 others in the recent Air India plane crash. The gathering was organized to honor the memory of Rupani and pray for peace for all the departed souls.
During the meeting, District President Sanjeev Vishisht and senior BJP leader Sukhwinder Goldy shared their personal memories with Vijay Rupani, recalling his humility, commitment to public service, and leadership within the party. They expressed deep sorrow at the loss of such a noble and visionary personality.
Also present at the condolence meet were several prominent leaders and party functionaries, including Kamal Saini, Gurudev, and Sardar Gurudarshan Singh from Dera Bassi, who echoed similar sentiments, remembering Rupani as a compassionate and inspiring figure.
District Secretary Sachin Ladi, Punjab BJP Mahila Morcha Deputy Chief Ekta Nagpal, Pradeep Sharma, Zirakpur Mandal 3 President Suresh Khatkar, IT Cell In-charge Varjesh Modgil, and District Vice President Sanant Bhardwaj were among those who joined in offering condolences and standing in solidarity with the bereaved families.
The event concluded with a moment of silence and collective prayers for all those who lost their lives in the tragic incident, marking a somber and respectful tribute from the BJP fraternity in Mohali.
