Moga (Punjab), December 17
Encounter broke out between Moga police and members of Bambiha gang in Badhni Kalan area of the district. In the incident, one cop got injured while three gangsters arrested after cross firing.
DSP Moga Harinder Singh Dodd says, “During checking, three people came on a motorcycle, police asked them to stop but they tried to run away, police chased them and they fired at the police. In retaliatory firing by police, they surrendered before the police. They have been identified as Shankar Rajput, Jashav and Navdeep. They are associates of Mandeep Dhaliwal and Lucky Patial who run the Bambiha gang. A police personnel suffered minor injuries, and one of the accused also sustained minor injuries.”
