Making regular efforts to resolve the issue of waterlogging in Dhokka Mohalla, Dharampura and adjoining areas, Ludhiana Central MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi launched three new 170hp motors commissioned in the areas to pump out water on Saturday.
MLA Prashar was accompanied by Senior Deputy Mayor Rakesh Prashar, ward incharge Ajay Nayyar Tanki and area residents/volunteers.
MLA Ashok Prashar stated that earlier there was only one 130hp motor installed at the pumping station near Gaughat cremation ground. Due to this, the rain water receded slowly from these area. But now, three new 170hp motors have been installed which will expedite the process to drain out water.
With commissioning of these new motors, Dhokka Mohalla, Gaushala road, Ranjit Park, Dharampura, Shivaji Nagar and adjoining areas would be benefitted, added MLA Prashar.
MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi and Senior Deputy Mayor Rakesh Prashar stated that state government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is committed for the welfare of the state. Regular efforts are being made to provide relief to the residents in every aspect. They are regularly monitoring the situation and every effort is being made to avoid waterlogging especially in the low lying areas of the city.
