Ludhiana, June 2

Punjab Minister Dr Ravjot Singh today addressed a poll meeting in support of Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate for the Ludhiana (West) Assembly constituency. The meeting was held at Seth Sohan Lal Lane, Rani Jhansi Road, in the Civil Lines area of the city.

While addressing the gathering, Dr Ravjot Singh urged voters of the Ludhiana (West) constituency to support Arora, describing him as a capable, visionary, and energetic leader. “Sanjeev Arora is the right choice for Ludhiana (West), and every voter must not only cast their vote but also encourage their friends and family to vote for the ‘broom’ symbol,” said the minister. He predicted a decisive victory for Arora in the upcoming by-election.

Dr Ravjot Singh praised Arora’s contributions to Ludhiana’s development and dubbed him the “Superhero of Development” for his dedication and efforts in transforming the city. Expressing confidence in Arora’s future, he remarked that the Arora is likely to be entrusted with a major role in the state government following his anticipated win. “AAP is a party of common people, and its leaders remain grounded. This is the real change sweeping across Punjab’s political landscape,” he added.

In his address, Sanjeev Arora presented a summary of his three-year tenure in the Rajya Sabha, highlighting key developmental projects initiated under his watch. He noted that his achievements are so well-known that during rallies, attendees often remind him of initiatives he forgets to mention — a clear sign, he said, of public awareness and appreciation.

Arora emphasized his efforts to expedite major infrastructure projects such as the Halwara Airport, the elevated road, and the upgradation of ESI and Civil Hospitals. He also highlighted the installation of 15,000 new streetlights across the city, repairs of existing parks, and the development of new parks on unused municipal land.

Prominent personalities including Nandani Jairath, Manu Jairath, Anil Aggarwal, Ashok Oswal, Rakesh Arora, Manohar Lal Narang, Rakesh Goyal, Moti Goyal, and Kamal Jain were present at the event.
