Emphasizing the importance of nutritious, hygienically prepared food for school students in the Mid Day Meal Scheme, Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal today emphasized that there should be no compromise on the quality of food provided to students.
The Deputy Commissioner, during an inspection at Government High School in Daad village, highlighted that the successful execution of this scheme, along with the maintenance of adequate food quality and quantity, is the primary concern of the district’s administration. He examined the inventory of food grains received, used, and stored at the school. Additionally, he also tasted the meal to assess their quality.
Jorwal also toured the school’s kitchen and dining area, inspecting the equipment used for food preparation. He also engaged in detailed conversations with the kitchen staff. He urged them to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the food preparation process. He further instructed the school authorities to ensure that students consume IFA tablets promptly after their midday meal. These tablets should be administered without fail.
During his address, the Deputy Commissioner encouraged the students to strive hard for their career success. He also discussed future opportunities available to students in various fields.
