Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal conducted a review on Monday of the construction progress for the upcoming Schools of Eminence (SOE) in Kidwai Nagar and Dholewal.
During a meeting with heads from various departments, including Education, Ludhiana Improvement Trust, and Public Works Department (PWD), he stated that the completion deadline for the Kidwai Nagar SOE has been set for March 31, 2025.
Jorwal noted that work on ramps, security guard rooms, and electrical installations are already in progress. Additionally, the department has also put in motion for administrative approval for changes in the scope of work, and the necessary funds will be allocated accordingly. He directed officials from the Ludhiana Improvement Trust to accelerate construction efforts to meet the deadline.
Furthermore, Jorwal took feedback regarding the on-going works at the Dholewal School of Eminence, which is being built by the Public Works Department.
The Deputy Commissioner highlighted that the Schools of Eminence will feature smart classrooms, modern infrastructure, laboratories, CCTV surveillance, and playgrounds equipped for various sports activities. He stressed that the objective of the School of Eminence program is to revolutionize the education sector, promoting holistic development and a bright future for students.
Jorwal emphasized that the Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is prioritizing high-quality services in education. He told the officials to put forth their best efforts to expedite the completion of all pending work on these projects.
