The demolished building, located in Dhankiya Mohalla, Jalandhar, was owned by Dharminder, son of Mohan Lal, a repeat offender with six cases registered against him under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

Authorities confirmed that the property was built using proceeds from his illicit drug trade.

A joint operation by the Municipal Corporation and Police Department led to the swift demolition of the encroached government land, reinforcing the Punjab Government’s commitment to dismantling the financial strongholds of drug networks.

Officials reiterated their zero-tolerance stance against drug-related crimes, vowing continued action against those profiting from illegal activities.
