Jalandhar Police carried out a focused CASO Operation under ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’

As part of the ongoing ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ campaign, the Commissionerate Police Jalandhar conducted a focused Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) targeting drug trafficking networks across key areas of the city.

Providing the details, Commissioner of Police, Dhanpreet Kaur said that the operation was led under the supervision of the concerned ACPs, who provided strategic guidance throughout the execution. Teams from multiple police stations were mobilized to support this mission, ensuring a coordinated and comprehensive effort.

She said that this operation involved targeted raids at known drug hot-spots in Jalandhar, particularly in areas frequently used by traffickers as transit points. Thorough searches were conducted at suspected individuals’ residences and nearby premises. Police paid special attention to identifying hidden contraband, particularly narcotic substances and Identity verification of individuals was carried out through proper checks of ID proofs to ensure accountability and lawful conduct.

She also mentioned that this targeted operation led to the registration of 3 FIRs at Police Station Division No.7,8 & Rama Mandi along with the arrest of four. Seized narcotics included 155 intoxicant tablets and 5.30 grams of heroin. Additionally, one drug addict was sent to drug de-addiction center.

“Our goal is a drug-free Jalandhar and search operations like these play a pivotal role in weakening the drug networks,” said CP Jalandhar. The Jalandhar Police remains resolute in its mission to eliminate the menace of drugs, working in line with the Punjab Government’s vision for a Drug Free state.
