Jalandhar Commissionerate Police led by Commissioner of Police Swapan Sharma and DIG S. Bhoopati on Wednesday intensified the crackdown on street crime & drugs through CASO operation.
Divulging the details, the Commissioner of Police said that more than 500 Police personnel were mobilized in this well-coordinated drive.He said that intensive checking was done at Bus Stand, Hotspotts, Religious Places and others during which multiple suspects were detained and recoveries were made.
Swapan Sharma said that the drive a bold and meticulously coordinated operation aimed at wiping out crime from the city.
The Commissioner of Police said that the Operation was aimed at curbing street crime throughout the city. He said that during the entire operation exceptional coordination was ensured throughout.
He said that Over 500 police personnel were deployed in a well-orchestrated effort targeting known hotspots for street crime and drug trafficking across the city.
Swapan Sharma said that Through comprehensive crime mapping, 25 key locations were identified for scrutiny, focusing on notorious criminals and drug dealers. The Commissioner of Police said that Several suspects were detained during this operation and recoveries have been made.
He said that this operation marks a significant milestone in Commissionerate Police’s unwavering commitment to ensuring public safety and tackling street crime & drug-related offenses.
Swapan Sharma said that the state government is committed for wiping out crime from city and no stone will be left unturned for it.
