Jagdeep Singh Kahlon appointed technical officer for National Games

Maharaja Ranjit Singh Awardee and international cyclist Jagdeep Singh Kahlon’s proud achievements today saw another addition when Jagdeep Singh Kahlon was appointed as the technical officer for cycling by the Cycling Federation of India for the 38th National Games which would like to held in Uttarakhand from January 28 to February 14, 2025. This appointment has been made by the Cycling Federation of India and the Indian Olympic Association.

It is also worth mentioning here that earlier Jagdeep Singh Kahlon was also serving as a committee member of the Khelo India Scheme and a member of the North Zone Cycling Talent Identification Zonal Committee by the Sports Ministry of the Government of India, media coordinator of the Cycling Federation of India, convener of the Athletes Commission of the Cycling Federation of India, and executive committee member, general secretary of the District Olympic Association Patiala.Jagdeep Singh Kahlon is a national record holder and has been a national champion for five consecutive years. For a long time, he has been writing articles in various newspapers on sports activities and has been raising various issues of the players.

Jagdeep Singh Kahlon said that it is a matter of great happiness for him that the Cycling Federation of India and the Sports Ministry have chosen him as the technical officer. He said, “I will fulfill this responsibility with dedication and work for the prosperity of cycling in India and Punjab.” S. Kahlon said that in the coming days a big event is being organized for cycling in Punjab, in which cyclists from every state of the country will participate.

On this occasion, General Secretary of Asian Cycling Confederation Onkar Singh, Olympian Swaran Singh Virk, Olympian Sukhmeet Singh (Arjuna Awardee), Mandeep Jangra (Arjuna Awardee), Shiv Gopal Mishra, General Secretary of All India Railway Men’s Federation, Rajinder Saini, President of Bar Association Rajpura, Dr. Nirmal Singh, Divisional Secretary of NRMU (Ambala Mandal), Bakshish Singh, Cashier of Society for Sports Person Welfare, office bearers of District Olympic Association Patiala, International Sports Writer Mandeep Sunam, and Dharamvir Singh XEN (PSPCL) and other social, religious, and sports organizations congratulated Jagdeep Singh Kahlon and wished him success in the future.
