With the aim of resolving the issues of industries appropriately and giving them further encouragement, Administrative Secretary of Industries and Commerce Department, Kamal Kishore Yadav, held a meeting today here with representatives of various industrial associations, during which he listened to the problems of industrialists and shared information about the efforts being made by the Punjab Government to promote industry.
While presiding over the meeting held at District Administrative Complex along with Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal, Police Commissioner Dhanpreet Kaur, Commissioner Jalandhar Municipal Corporation, the Administrative Secretary said that the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is committed to resolving the demands and problems of the state’s industry and providing them a conducive environment for business, and in this direction, the Government is making meaningful efforts swiftly.
He especially assured to provide all possible help and cooperation from the Punjab Government to further establish the district’s Hand Tool Industry, which is the identity of the district, at the international level. Mr. Yadav also took suggestions from the representatives of the Hand Tool and Power Tool Industry.
While listening to the issues and demands of industrialists related to Labour, Excise and Taxation, Municipal Corporation, Deputy Director Factories, GM DIC, Police, Revenue Department, Punjab State Power Corporation and other departments, he instructed to take appropriate steps for immediate resolution of district-level issues. He directed the concerned officers to immediately resolve issues related to roads, sewerage, lights, water, security in Leather Complex, Sports and Surgical Complex and other industrial areas. He also informed that the process for proper maintenance of all focal points in the state has already started.
He assured to raise the demands related to tool room, testing lab for sports industry, building approval plan, stability certificate etc. strongly before the competent authority at the state level so that they can be resolved appropriately.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal informed the Administrative Secretary that the district administration also holds meetings with industrialists from time to time, during which their issues and demands are listened to and appropriate solutions are ensured. He said that the administration is leaving no stone unturned to provide a smooth environment for industrialists to run their business in the district.
