Policy formed to install sheds on all railway underpasses across Haryana: Deputy CM Chautala

Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said that a policy has been formulated to install sheds on all railway underpasses across the state by the Public Works (Building and Roads) Department. Work of these sheds has already commenced in Karnal and Jind districts.

Responding to a question raised by a member of the House during the winter session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Chautala clarified that the underpasses in the Baroda area mentioned by the MLA fall under the jurisdiction of Indian Railways.

He further informed that the construction of a shed on the approaches of the Bhainswan Khurd to Mahra road is currently underway.

Provisions for the remaining six underpasses have been proposed in the Work-programme 2023-24 and will be undertaken upon approval by the Competent Authority.
