The General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee and former Union Minister Kumari Selja said that the plan to deceive people in the name of the BJP-JJP Alliance government’s portal under the guise of digitization is proving to be a complete failure. Data of people from various portals and websites in the state is being stolen. Due to the alliance government’s mistake, cyber criminals are clearing people’s bank accounts.
In such a situation, the state should compensate for the losses suffered due to the government’s failure. Kumari Selja said that the heavy vehicle drivers have been on strike for the past 4 days, which is direct proof of the government’s stubbornness.
“There is an atmosphere of tension across the country regarding the Hit and Run law, and on January 2, truck and bus drivers protested vigorously at the Yamunanagar toll plaza. Similarly, drivers near Damla village in the district also began a permanent sit-in by setting up tents, but due to the government’s dictatorship, the protesters were evicted from the protest site. Consequently, the drivers started demonstrating again on the highway not far from the protest site,” said Kumari Selja.
“Due to the BJP-JJP alliance government’s anti-people policies, every class is now compelled to come down on the roads, but the government, due to its stubborn behavior, continues to harass the public,” she added.
Selja said that from 2014 to the present, the people of the country and the state have been engaged in protests because the negative effects of all the government’s policies are directly affecting the people. Due to the strike of truck drivers, along with affecting the daily lives of the people, there is also a shortage of petrol and diesel, which is causing heavy crowds at all petrol pumps in the state. If the government does not change its approach, the situation could become alarming.
In a statement released to the media, Kumari Selja said that cases of data breach in the PPP, electricity department, and revenue department have been continuously coming to light. Sometimes, after uploading the registry in the revenue department on the portal, cybercriminals clone the fingerprint and clear their bank accounts. This amount is then transferred to bank accounts in other states, including Bihar, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh. Evidence of such incidents has also been obtained by the Haryana Police.
Former Union Minister said that before this, the data of the registry from the revenue department’s website was leaked. With this data, cybercriminals clone fingerprints and clear money from bank accounts. The Haryana Police had even written a letter to the revenue department about this issue. Cyber Police in Faridabad had arrested three suspects from Bihar who had cleared people’s accounts.
Kumari Selja said that reaching the data of 67 lakh electricity consumers in the state to cybercriminals is not hidden from anyone. The messages received by electricity consumers indicate that government data has been breached. People’s bank accounts are getting emptied, and the state government is not taking any steps.
The former Union Minister said that the incident of breaching the server of the family identification card is not hidden from anyone. This breach continued due to a flaw in the software. When the case came to light in the media, several people from places like Jind, Fatehabad, Hisar, etc., were also arrested.
Kumari Selja said that it is clear from repeatedly occurring incidents that people’s data on any website of the state government is not safe at all. By putting people’s data on the website, The BJP-JJP Alliance Government has created a new problem for them, which is no less than a boon for cybercriminals. The state government should compensate those who have been cheated due to the government’s negligence.
