“One Nation, One Ration Card” scheme proving to be a boon for every citizen: Haryana Minister Anoop Dhanak

Haryana, Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs, Anoop Dhanak, said that the success and immense benefits of the “One Nation, One Ration Card” scheme has emerged as a blessing for citizens across the country.

Anoop Dhanak was addressing the beneficiaries of “One Nation-One Ration Card” scheme during inauguration of the Samvad programme in Faridabad on Friday.

He stated that not only Haryana residents, but also people from other parts of the country, are benefiting from this programme. In the Faridabad district by itself, 4619 people who came to work from other states received rations in the month of January, and 9831 people have benefited from this scheme in the month of October.

Dhanak underlined that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi launched this crucial and beneficial scheme on August 9, 2019, with the well-being of citizens in mind.

Additionally, during the COVID-19 pandemic, this initiative played a pivotal role in assisting the common people. He praised the scheme for bringing historic changes to the public distribution system.

During the programme, Director, Food and Public Distribution Department, Government of India, Sh.Suneel Sachdeva, gave detailed information about the various steps taken by the Government of India regarding this scheme. Several senior officers of the department remained present in the programme.
