Haryana Public Health Engineering Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal directed the officers of the department to take adequate measures to improve access to clean drinking water as the summer season intensifies. He said that special attention should be given to areas facing water scarcity specially in southern Haryana and to ensure the continuous supply of drinking water to the areas. The Minister emphasized the importance of engaging Gram Panchayats to facilitate drinking water supply in rural areas as well.
Dr. Banwari Lal presided over a meeting to extensively reviewed ongoing drinking water schemes in the state and also took stock the situation of drinking water supply in view of intensifying summers here today with officials from the Public Health Department here today. He stressed the importance of completing the water supply projects within the predetermined timeframe.
Recognizing the challenges faced in certain areas regarding drinking water supply, he further instructed officials to take immediate measures to resolve the issue by arranging water supply through tankers.
To tackle the drinking water problem in Nangal Chowdhary, Dr. Banwari Lal instructed officials to ensure the supply of drinking water through tankers and expedite the construction of water works in the area. Additionally, he highlighted the ongoing installation of tube wells in various villages across the state. He further directed the officials to conduct regular inspections of ongoing drinking water schemes and projects in all districts.
