Haryana to spend Rs 3700 crore in new road construction next year: Deputy CM

Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Dushyant Chautala said that Rs 3700 crore will be spent on construction of new roads in the state next year. Of this, Rs 57 crore will be spent on village Siwani to Singhani and Lohani-Obra-Behal road in Bhiwani district.

While highlighting the development of villages in the state, he said that villages are being transformed in line with urban areas. He emphasized that farmers are receiving fair prices for their crops, with the government purchasing 14 crops at Minimum Support Price (MSP).

Assuring farmers, he stated that the government has taken responsibility for addressing all their concerns, alleviating any worries they may have.

Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala addressing villagers in Kalod village of Bhiwani district on Tuesday and also interacted with residents in Surpura Khurd, Bairaan, and Singhani villages. During these interactions, he attentively listened to the grievances faced by the villagers.

Chautala stated that the government is actively implementing schemes for the welfare of every section of society. He emphasized the government’s efforts to ensure 50 percent participation of women in Panchayats, with today every third ration depot being allocated to women. The substantial involvement of women has contributed to their self-reliance, he added.

He said that presently, farmers are receiving the full value for their crops, and the crop prices are being promptly credited to the farmers’ accounts within 48 hours.

Unlike earlier times when farmers had to spend numerous nights waiting with their produce, now their crops are swiftly procured as soon as they reach the market. The government has alleviated farmers’ concerns and minimized risks through initiatives like the Bhavantar Bharpay Yojana and Crop Insurance Scheme.

Assuring the farmers, he stated that the outstanding insurance and compensation amounts will be disbursed soon.

He highlighted that the government is striving to transform villages into urban-like spaces. The government’s vision extends beyond basic infrastructure to encompass amenities such as parks, gymnasiums, and e-libraries in villages. By leveraging technology, citizens can now access online facilities from the comfort of their homes.

The government has digitized 600 government services, allowing people to avail themselves of these services in proximity to their residences. Today, one can acquire land fard for Rs 20, and individuals are enjoying the convenience of applying for old age pensions, ration cards, and pension schemes from their homes.

The government is committed to providing services with transparency to benefit the people.

The villagers presented their demands to the Deputy Chief Minister, urging the construction of roads, streets, Phirni construction, a community hall, and proper facilities in the e-library, open gym, gymnasium, and cowshed.

Additionally, they highlighted the pending insurance and compensation amounts. In response, the Deputy Chief Minister assured them that these requests would be addressed and fulfilled promptly.
