Haryana Health and Family Welfare Minister Anil Vij said that a permanent psychiatrist will now be appointed at Sub-Divisional Civil Hospital in Dabwali. It’s noteworthy that there is already a psychiatrist posted on deputation basis at the Sub-Divisional Civil Hospital in Dabwali, and a de-addiction center is operational.
Vij provided this information in response to a question raised during the winter session of the Vidhan Sabha here today.
He informed that the tendering process for providing ultrasound services through Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode is currently underway. Services are expected to be available after the completion of the tender process, a procedure that typically takes about six months.
Vij said that the installation of the ultrasound machine is anticipated within the next six months, possibly even sooner.
He highlighted the significant shortage in the psychiatry department and said that 29 doctors have completed psychiatry diplomas from Bangalore, while 54 medical officers are currently undergoing training in Chandigarh.
