Haryana govt increases honorarium of village watchmen to Rs. 11, 000

On the auspicious day of Rakshabandhan, Haryana CM, Manohar Lal made several significant announcements while giving unique presents to rural watchmen. Now Watchmen will get monthly honorarium of Rs. 11,000 and uniform allowance of Rs. 4,000 per annum along with a bicycle after every 5 years. Apart from this, the watchmen will get Rs. 1,000 annually for stick and torch batteries.

The Chief Minister was meeting representatives of village chowkidars from across the state including Kaithal, Kurukshetra, Panipat, Charkhi Dadri, Hisar, Fatehabad, Sirsa, Karnal here today. On this occasion, Political Advisor, Krishan Bedi, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, V Umashankar, Director General, Development and Panchayats Department, DK Behera, besides other senior officers were present.

The Chief Minister said that the government has done the work of transforming the system and has ensured that all the sanitation workers and other workers get their honorarium on time every month. Works like making BPL ration cards, old age pension, Ayushman Bharat Yojana cards are also being done through PPP. This scheme is directly benefiting the villagers and there is a pleasant atmosphere among the people.
