Haryana giving highest compensation to farmers under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana: Minister JP Dalal

Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister JP Dalal said that Haryana is giving the highest compensation to farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. Under this scheme, a total compensation of Rs 7967.40 crore has been given to the farmers.

JP Dalal was replying to a question asked by MLA Dr. Abhay Singh Yadav during the winter session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha here today.

The Agriculture Minister said that under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, an amount of Rs 6.75 crore has been released to the concerned farmers of Mahendragarh in lieu of all the claims for the mustard crop in Rabi 2022-23. There is no outstanding claim from any farmer in the district in this regard.

JP Dalal said that under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana in Haryana, a total of Rs 1943.34 crore was taken as premium from the farmers, the state’s share is Rs 2575.10 crore and the central government’s share is Rs 2295.42 crore.

A total of Rs 6813.87 crore has been given to insurance companies, while a total compensation of Rs 7967.40 crore has been given to farmers.
