Haryana formulates plan for proper drainage of water from the water-logged field within 4 hours: Dushyant Chautala

Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said that digital libraries will be set up in all the villages of the state. The work of setting up libraries in one thousand villages has been completed, by the end of this year the work of setting up libraries in 4000 villages will be completed and by the year 2024 the target of setting up digital libraries in all the villages of the state will be achieved.

Dushyant Chautala said this while addressing a public meeting at village Ghirai in Hisar district. He said permanent arrangements are being made for drainage of rain water with an expenditure of Rs. 1,100 crores by the state government in order to protect the crops. He stated that from next year, arrangements will be made to ensure proper drainage of water from the water logged fields within 4 hours. He said that during the last three years, an amount of Rs. 34 thousand crores have been invested in Haryana, due to which innumerable opportunities of employment and self-employment are being made available to the youth of the state.

He said that the Gram Panchayats which will provide 1 to 3 acres of land, community centres will be made in all those villages. These are being constructed in all the gram panchayats of the state where proposals have been sent for setting up community centres. The Deputy Chief Minister said that the government started the Amrit Sarovar scheme to beautify the ponds, under which more than 1400 ponds have been beautified in the state so far.
