Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday emphasized that officials must ensure honest and timely redressal of public grievances while keeping in mind citizens’ sentiments.
He said the state government is committed to working at the grassroots level under the principle of Antyodaya upliftment, where swift resolution of complaints remains a top priority.
The Chief Minister was chairing a meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee in Gurugram, attended by Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Pataudi MLA Bimla Chaudhary, Sohna MLA Tejpal Tanwar, and Gurugram MLA Mukesh Sharma.
A total of 18 complaints were presented before the committee, out of which 14 were resolved on the spot. The CM directed that four cases be kept pending until the next meeting.
Pramod Kumar, a resident of Devat Colony, had complained about a neighbor encroaching upon 12 feet of a 24-foot-wide street for the past 16 years. Following CM Saini’s instructions in July, the Municipal Corporation removed the encroachment. The complainant expressed gratitude for the long-pending issue being resolved.
The Surya Vihar Resident Welfare Association had highlighted dangerously low-hanging, 30-year-old wires and damaged poles in their colony. Acting on the CM’s previous directions, DHBVN replaced old conductors, removed dilapidated poles, and installed new infrastructure. The RWA thanked the CM for the timely action.
Residents of Sector-85 Oris Society raised concerns over a 24-meter-wide road linking their main road to the Dwarka Expressway being blocked by landowners, forcing residents and children to use unsafe alternative routes. Taking serious note, CM Saini directed officials including DTP and STP to take immediate action to restore the route.
The meeting was also attended by Manesar Mayor Dr. Indrajit Yadav, GMDA Principal Advisor D.S. Dhesi, GMDA CEO Shyamal Mishra, and senior district administration officials.
