Haryana calls citizens to avail benefit of social security schemes implemented by the Central Government

The Haryana Government has appealed to citizens to take advantage of various social security schemes, namely the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, implemented by the Central Government.

Giving information in this regard, an official spokesperson said that application forms for the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana are readily accessible at banks and post offices across the region. By depositing the prescribed annual premium, individuals can secure insurance coverage of up to Rs 2 lakh.

Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Central Government has launched two schemes aimed at extending the benefits of Jeevan Suraksha Bima Yojana to every bank customer. These social security initiatives are designed to empower families by providing crucial financial support during difficult times. Eligible individuals between the ages of 18 and 50 can enroll in the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, which offers life insurance protection of Rs 2 lakh upon the payment of an annual premium of Rs 436.

Additionally, the spokesperson highlighted the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, an accident insurance scheme catering to citizens aged 18 to 70. By paying a remarkably low annual premium of Rs 20, participants can obtain accident insurance coverage of Rs 2 lakh.

The premium for these insurance schemes is automatically deducted from the consumer’s bank or post office account, and in the event of a claim, the amount is directly deposited into the beneficiary’s bank account. To enroll in these schemes, individuals are encouraged to visit their nearest bank branch or post office.
