Haryana, Chief Minister, Manohar Lal is making unprecedented strides in prioritising the welfare of journalists in the state. No other government has, to date, shown as much dedication to journalists’ well-being.

In a groundbreaking move, Sh. Manohar Lal’s administration, for the first time in the state’s history, approved a plan to provide a monthly pension of Rs.10,000 to accredited journalists who completed 60 years of age on 26 October 2017. Now, he has further elevated his commitment by increasing the pension amount to Rs. 15,000.

Earlier, where social media influencers were previously overlooked, the Chief Minister has initiated policies to grant them the status of journalists, recognising their important role. These initiatives, aimed at journalists’ welfare, have been enthusiastically welcomed in Haryana’s media community after receiving cabinet approval.
