Construction of AIIMS, Rewari set to commence soon: Anil Vij

Chandigarh, December 15

Haryana Health, Medical Education and Research Minister Anil Vij disclosed that the work for construction of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rewari is expected to start shortly.

Responding to queries raised by Congress MLA Charanjeev Rao during the ongoing winter session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Minister Anil Vij provided key updates on the project’s progress.

Minister Anil Vij emphasized that the Haryana Government, in its commitment to strengthen healthcare infrastructure, has acquired 203 Acres 3 Kanal 5 Marla of land at the cost of Rs. 40 Lac per acre.

This prime land has been leased to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for the explicit purpose of constructing AIIMS in Rewari.

To expedite the pre-investment activities required for the project, HLL Infra Tech Services Limited (HITES) has been appointed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, effective November 28, 2023.

He said that present state government is dedicated to advancing healthcare facilities in the region, with the eagerly anticipated initiation of construction activities for AIIMS, Rewari.
