All India Congress Committee General Secretary, former Haryana Congress President, Uttarakhand in-charge, former Union Minister and CWC member Kumari Selja said that the BJP government at the Centre has started a conspiracy to serve the ideology of its organizations instead of patriotism in the Sainik schools of the country.
The PPP mode was introduced in the Sainik schools to make them Sanghi. After implementing the PPP mode, allowing RSS and BJP members to run Sainik schools clearly shows that the Sanghi ideology has started developing in the minds of the students studying here.
In a statement issued to the media, Kumari Selja said that the latest report of Reporters Collective clearly shows that 62 percent of the new Sainik Schools are being run by the Sangh Parivar, BJP leaders and their allies. Eight schools are managed by the RSS or its affiliates, while six schools are associated with Hindu religious organizations.
All this did not happen in a day, but it was done as part of a conspiracy so that they can change the ideology of the students according to their wishes from childhood.
The former Union Minister said that the main function of Sainik School and Military School is to mold the students into a disciplined life like the army right from their student life and prepare officers as per the need of the army.
In Haryana, two government Sainik Schools are already running in Karnal and Rewari districts. Whereas, a Sainik School has been started in Khara Kheri of Fatehabad district on PPP mode.
Kumari Selja said that now the central government has decided to start another Sainik School on PPP mode in Kurukshetra district, which is absolutely wrong.
As the number of Sainik Schools on PPP mode increases, the government will bring the already running Sainik Schools and Military Schools on PPP mode. Whereas, the government should increase the number of Sainik and Military Schools, but instead of opening them on PPP mode, they should be opened on the government pattern like before.
The former Union Minister said that the students studying in Sainik Schools should be filled with the spirit of serving the country and protecting the country, and not be forced to follow the ideology of any party or organization.
This will weaken the foundation of the students. Instead of the country and its secular principles, they will start assimilating the ideas received from the people of that organization, which can prove harmful for the country and society in the future.
