As part of the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign, the Mitti Yatras have been launched, symbolizing a journey of unity and patriotism. The initiative aims to collect mitti (soil) from every village and carry it to Delhi as a mark of tribute to the nation’s brave soldiers and heroes.
In the first phase, the campaign kick-starts at the village level, where soil (mitti) is collected from various villages across the state. After gathering the soil from villages, the youth from each panchayat will take the collected soil to the nearest block. This way, Kalash of soil from 143 blocks of the state will be taken to the national-level program organized in Delhi. Additionally, 75 saplings will be planted in the Amrit Vatika, which will be built on the banks of the Amrit Sarovar in the villages. Furthermore, apart from the Amrit Vatika, Vasudha Vandan, and Veero Ka Vandan programs, Silaphalakam memorial plaques will be erected at strategically chosen locations, preferably near Amrit Sarovars and other water bodies.
