Blood donation camp organized at Haryana Civil Secretariat today

Haryana Government in collaboration with Rotary Blood Bank Society and Blood Society Resource Centre, Chandigarh will organize a blood donation camp on April 19, 2023 at 10:00 am at Haryana Civil Secretariat, Chandigarh. The Chief Secretary urged the employees of the Civil Secretariat to step forward and be a part of this humanitarian cause by donating blood. “Your blood donation can provide a lifeline to patients in need, including accident victims, cancer patients, newborns, and others who require blood transfusions for their survival and recovery,” the Chief Secretary added.
According to the Rotary Blood Bank Society and Blood Society Resource Centre, Chandigarh, the donor in the age group of 18 to 65 should be healthy and mentally alert and free from active or chronic disease. There should be a normal interval of 3 months for men and 4 months for women between two blood donations. Also, the blood donor should not have a history of tattooing or animal bite in the last 12 months. Apart from this, the donor should not have undergone the dental procedure in the last 6 months and should not have had surgery, an accident or typhoid in the last 1 year.
