1204 complaints received so far on C-Vigil mobile app: Haryana CEO

Haryana Chief Electoral Officer, Anurag Agarwal said that citizens are also keeping a close watch through C-Vigil mobile app regarding the violations of the Model Code of Conduct implemented in view of the Lok Sabha general elections. Through the innovative C-Vigil mobile application, citizens are empowered to actively monitor and report violations of the Model Code of Conduct, ensuring fair and transparent elections.

Anurag Agarwal said that so far, 1204 complaints have been received on the C-Vigil mobile app in the state, which have been resolved within a specified time. He said that the public ensuring their participation in the system through the “C-Vigil” mobile app is a matter of pride.

He said that through the C-Vigil mobile app, the public is being empowered similar to election observers, enabling citizens to register complaints of violations of the Model Code of Conduct. Providing district-wise details, he said that the highest 317 complaints have been received from Sirsa district.

Similarly, 219 from Ambala, 46 from Bhiwani, 40 from Faridabad, 37 from Fatehabad, 78 from Gurugram, 46 from Hisar, 20 from Jhajjar, 22 each from Jind and Kaithal, 16 from Karnal, 31 from Kurukshetra, 3 from Mahendragarh, 36 from Mewat, 32 from Palwal, 67 from Panchkula, 5 from Panipat, 3 from Rewari, 34 from Rohtak, 87 from Sonipat, and 43 complaints from Yamunanagar have been received. Among these, 959 complaints were found to be valid and action was taken accordingly.

He appealed to the citizens to support in making the elections fair and transparent. This C-Vigil app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store for Android phones and from the App Store for iPhones, said Anurag Agarwal.

He said that citizens can take photos or record two-minute videos and upload them on this app. The photo or video will be uploaded on the app along with the GPS location. Complaints will be resolved within 100 minutes of registration.

He mentioned that flying squads and static surveillance teams have real-time information and teams will immediately reach the location from where the complaint is received on the C-Vigil app, informed Anurag Agarwal.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will campaign for the Chandigarh BJP candidate during the Lok Sabha elections.

He assured this to Chandigarh BJP President Jitender Pal Malhotra, General Secretary Hukam Chand and Amit Jindal during a meeting at his Haryana residence today.

President Malhotra said during this meeting, the Chief Minister has assured them that he will be available whenever required and will be involved in the campaigning process also.

The President further said during the half an hour meeting, the Lok Sabha elections were discussed in detail with the Chief Minister and he also gave necessary suggestions regarding the elections.

According to Malhotra, Chandigarh BJP’s public contact campaign is going on at all the booths. This time in the elections, BJP will win the Chandigarh seat with a record number of votes.

There is an atmosphere of enthusiasm among the people towards the BJP because apart from Ram Mandir and the removal of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, the development works done in railway service, air service and other areas is also being appreciated by the people of the country. It may be noted that many development works have been done in Chandigarh. Chandigarh BJP will soon reach out to the people regarding the development story of Chandigarh.

BJP State General Secretaries Hukam Chand and Amit Jindal described the meeting with the Chief Minister as very important. They added in this Lok Sabha election, many big personalities, including the Haryana CM, will reach Chandigarh to campaign.
