Haryana Labour Minister Anil Vij announced that the upcoming 100-bedded ESI hospital in Bawal Industrial Area will be inaugurated and dedicated to the public within three months of the building’s handover. He said that after construction is completed, the hospital will be equipped with furniture, medical equipment, and staff on priority.
Vij emphasized that his focus is to ensure that wherever there is higher demand from workers, a 100-bedded hospital must be established to provide them with better healthcare facilities. He added that similar hospitals are being planned in Rohtak, Hisar, Ambala, Sonipat, and Karnal, with land transfer processes moving ahead swiftly.
Responding to a question by Bawal MLA Dr. Krishan Kumar during the ongoing Monsoon Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Vij clarified that the Bawal ESI hospital is being constructed by ESI, New Delhi, with work being executed by the CPWD. “About 85 percent of the construction work is complete, and I have written to the Union Labour Minister to expedite its completion,” he said.
Vij further informed that he has also taken up several other ESI-related projects in the state, including a 100-bedded ESI hospital at Ballabhgarh, an ESI dispensary in Panchkula, and ongoing projects in Sonipat. He said that officers of the State Labour Department are in constant coordination with the Central Ministry to ensure early completion.
Praising Bawal MLA Dr. Krishan Kumar, Vij said he was glad to see him actively raising the concerns of his constituency in the Assembly, ensuring that the people of Bawal benefit at the earliest.
