Boldly and fearlessly exposes the flaws and distortions in present system Pali Bhupinder’s Film Gurmukh: Sanjeevan Singh

Renowned playwright and theatre director Pali Bhupinder has written and directed the Punjabi film Gurmukh: The Eye Witness. This film not only boldly and courageously exposes the flaws and distortions in the current system (politics, administration, judiciary) but also highlights the moral decline in society. Additionally, it defines the true essence of a Guru’s Sikh.

Playwright and director Sanjeevan Singh shared his thoughts on the film, stating, “Pali Bhupinder is not only fearless in exposing the harsh realities of society through theatre but also through films. Previously, in Stupid Seven, he sensitively highlighted an important issue.”

Sumit Singh and Gurpreet Singh have facilitated the film’s release on the OTT platform Cable One in over a dozen languages, including Punjabi, Hindi, English, and Russian, making it a historic milestone in Punjabi cinema.

Sanjeevan further remarked, “At a time when meaningless and vulgar double-meaning Punjabi films have deteriorated the taste of Punjabi audiences, Gurmukh will contribute to the mental well-being of Punjabi society. It is a matter of pride for Sarghi Kala Kendra that two of its theatre artists, Sanjeev Diwan ‘Kuku’ and Ranjeevan Singh, will be seen in significant roles in the film.”
