Tarn Taran/Chandigarh, August 7
In a significant show of support for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Tarn Taran, dozens of local leaders, panchayat members, and sarpanches joined the party in a large public gathering attended by AAP Punjab President Aman Arora. The event, held amidst a massive crowd, saw the presence of senior AAP leaders Talbir Singh Gill and Sarwan Singh Dhun, who, along with Arora, extended a warm welcome to the new members.
Addressing the rally before the formal joining, Aman Arora said the love and trust AAP is receiving from every corner of Punjab, including Tarn Taran, is a result of the transparent, honest, and people-first governance model led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Arora emphasized that the AAP government has delivered significant progress in just three and a half years and is committed to working even harder in the remaining one and half years.
“The Aam Aadmi Party doesn’t believe in empty slogans or token gestures. We work for the people, with the people, and are answerable only to them,” Arora said, adding that the development work done in education, health, agriculture, and anti-corruption in Punjab is now being recognised by people.
He also paid an emotional tribute to the late AAP MLA from Tarn Taran, Kashmir Singh Sohal, who passed away after a prolonged battle with cancer. Remembering his contribution and dedication, Arora said, “Kashmir Singh ji was not just a colleague, he was a true soldier of change. Tarn Taran lost a dedicated representative, but his dreams will be fulfilled by AAP. The seat may have fallen vacant, and a by-election may be announced anytime now, but the people will once again place their trust in AAP.”
