Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh who stirred controversy after he wrote the spelling of Punjab as ‘Panjab’ in his tweet announcing his Chandigarh concert, on Monday took to X to clarify his stance.

Several social media users pointed out that the spelling is commonly associated with the Pakistani side of the region.Fans also observed that Diljit did not include the Indian tricolour emoji in this specific post, in contrast to his previous tweets related to concerts.
