MP (Rajya Sabha) Sanjeev Arora presided over an event organised by the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI), Ludhiana Forum here on Thursday late evening.
Speaking on the occasion, Arora appreciated the organisers including Mohinder Goel and Rupinder Singh Chawla for organising the event for the betterment of developers of the city. In response to various issues raised at the meeting, he replied one by one to the complete satisfaction of the organisers. The issues such as common STP, bank guarantee, NOC and RERA approvals were raised at the meeting.
Arora asked the organisers to submit to him all the issues in writing but every issue should be taken up separately so that he may take up them with the concerned department.
Appreciating the functioning of RERA in Punjab, Arora said RERA Punjab is working in a better and lenient manner in Punjab compared to other states. He said 66 projects have been given clearances by RERA Punjab recently and 52 more projects are pending. He said it is the duty of every developer to follow all guidelines of RERA.
On the issue of STP, Arora said developers should not consider it as a burden for them. Rather, compliance of the setting up of STP at every real estate project is good both for the developer and the residents. Highlighting the importance of STP, he said these ensure a pollution-free environment.
Arora categorically stated that he is fully with the industry. He said he has already done a lot and will do more in the future also.
On the occasion, all the developers unitedly assured to support and vote for Arora who has been fielded by the AAP from in the by-election for Ludhiana (West) assembly constituency. They opined that Arora who hails from their own industry fully understands their issues and is the right person to get them redressed at the right forum. They said Arora has already done a lot for the industry and the industry further pins hopes on him.
