Congress leaders paid tribute to Dr. Manmohan Singh under the Sarva Dharma Shok Sabha Sammelan

District Congress today organized a Sarva Dharma Shok Sabha Sammelan dedicated to the country’s first Sikh Prime Minister, late Dr. Manmohan Singh. All the senior leaders and councilors of the district participated in it and paid tribute to late Dr. Manmohan Singh.

In the ceremony organized at the rural office of Congress, leaders from all four religions prayed for Dr. Manmohan Singh. On this occasion, Abdul Noor, Pradhan Majlas Ehraq Islam from the Islamic community, Rent Father Satpal Ji from the Christian community, Pandit Jatinder Swami Ji from the Hindu religion, and Bhai Randeep Singh Ji from the Sikh religion prayed.

The responsibility of managing the stage was taken by the constituency in-charge of Majitha, Bhagwant Pal Singh Sachhar. While the District Congress remembered Dr. Manmohan Singh together, they also paid tribute to him with moist eyes. On this occasion, senior Congress leaders Om Prakash Soni, Sukhwinder Singh Sukhsarkaria, Sunil Dutti, Jugal Kishore Sharma, Ashwani Pappu, Dinesh Bassi, Dr. Rajkumar Verka, Sunil Dutti, Raj Kanwal Prit Pal Singh Lucky, Vikas Soni, Tarsem Singh DC, Gurmeet Singh Bhilowal, Navdeep Singh Majitha, Navtejpal Singh and all the councillors were present.

MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla, despite being out of town due to personal reasons, stayed there and prayed for Dr. Manmohan Singh. He said that Dr. Manmohan Singh was a beacon of education. His life should be told to our children so that they can understand that the importance of education can make a person many times greater. He said that he appeals to the people to inspire their children to become like Dr. Manmohan Singh and tell them about his life so that they get inspired and know how strong and capable the Prime Minister was who took the country on the path of development for ten years. Meanwhile, Congress’s rural chief Harpratap Singh Ajnala was also out due to personal reasons, so he too sent a condolence message for Dr Manmohan Singh.
