UT announces summer vacation in schools from May 22 to June 30

Chandigarh, May 21

After Punjab, the Union Territory Chandigarh has also announced summer vacations in all its schools amid rising temperature.

The schools will remain shut from May 22 till June 30.

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a severe heatwave red alert for Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Chandigarh. The weather department has predicted heatwave to severe heatwave conditions over the next five days.
