Indian Army, Border Security Force holds synergy conference at Headquarters Western Command

The Indian Army and Border Security Force Synergy Conference was held at Headquarters Western Command today. Apart from senior army officers of Western Command, the conference was attended by senior officers of the Border Security Force (BSF) from Headquarters Special Director General BSF (Western Command), Headquarters Punjab & Jammu Frontiers, and the Sector Commanders.

The conference was addressed by Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katiyar, GOC-in-C, Western Command, and Shri Yogesh Bahadur Khurania, Special DG, BSF(Western Command).

The agenda included discussions on operational issues to further enhance synergy between the two forces. Common issues of training, equipment profile, and challenges of border management were actively deliberated upon.

The issue of the establishment of an effective counter-drone grid to further augment the trans-international border drone intrusion was also deliberated.

The importance of developing a joint security force culture to defeat nefarious designs of the enemy and continuing with the spirit of jointmanship and cooperation was jointly concurred.
