Fire erupts in Nehru hospital in PGI Chandigarh, all patients safe

Fire broke out at first floor of Nehru Hospital PGI Chandigarh. Civil Defense Department leader Sanjeev Kohli disclosed that they received info that a fire broke out on the first floor of the Nehru Hospital. We immediately reached the spot and the situation is now under control… The reason behind the fire is yet not clear… All the people inside the hospital have been evacuated.

Dr. Vivek Lal, Director of PGIMER, Chandigarh, disclosed that the fire started in the hospital’s computer room and spread to other parts. He said that the hospital’s administration acted swiftly and all patients have been safely evacuated from the affected area.
